1. Experience and Knowledge

Your wedding day is a once in a lifetime day.  You don’t want to hand the responsibility of filming this day to an amateur.  Make sure that your videographer is very experienced and is not a “Johnny come lately” .

2. View the Videographers Demo

It is very important to know what your videographer’s ability is before hiring him or her.

Does the DVD’s layout suit your wants?

Do you like how the Videographer edited the DVD?

Are there apparent mistakes?

Does the audio/music sound clear?

3. Style

Each videographer has his or her own unique style.  Make sure that your videographer’s style suits your wants.   Think about this as your watching the videographer’s Sample DVD.

4. Equipment

Does your videographer use professional or consumer equipment?   The reason that you are hiring a videographer is for his or her professional ability. Do a little research on what kind of equipment your videographer will be using.

Cameras?

Wireless Microphones?

Tripods?  Fluid Head or Plastic ?
